In this post, we shall see how to create a new database in Exadata Cloud Service.
As we mentioned before, you must have a successfully provisioned Database Home before you attempt to create a database. If you have one then select the option to create a new database from the OCI Console.
You are asked to provide a name for your new database and select it’s database version. You also need to choose the database home.
Next option is to select the type of workload that your database is going to support. You are also asked to provide the password for SYS user.
Now you can submit the database for creation and it’s shown as being provisioned.
After some time, you will see that your new database is created and is ready to use.
